I already have a website, why should I join Tasteur?

Tasteur is another means to finding your business along with your website, the same way brands buy ads on multiple radio stations, cable channels, tv and social networks etc. The difference here is that you will be getting a multi-channel and multi-feature service, for a fraction of the cost of traditional advertising methods.


What if I don't have a website?

Tasteur provides you with all the functionality of a website at a fraction of the cost. Therefore, you can use your Tasteur profile (with its accompanying listings) as your primary business website. From there you will be able to communicate directly with potential customers, as well as conduct direct sales of your products and services.


Why do I need Tasteur if there’s Google?

Your Tasteur pages can be found within all major internet search engines, not just Google. For example, Tasteur also ranks on Bing, Yahoo, Yandax, DuckDuckGo, and more. In fact, by adding your business to Tasteur, you increase your exposure on Google since the two work in unison. Furthermore, because Tasteur is uniquely dedicated to high quality food and drink businesses, you’ll attract more targeted and better-quality traffic (as opposed to Google which is very much a free-for-all).Most importantly, at Tasteur we work with you on a personal level to help promote your brand. Something which Google and other Big Tech solutions were not built to do.


Why does Tasteur use my business videos, images and marketing materials?

Tasteur uses your materials for the purpose of promoting and advancing your brand via the platform. You will also gain exposure on Tasteur’s social media channels, where your images and videos will be accompanied by links back to your business pages. Tasteur will always strive to stay true to your brand and will certainly never sell your materials to a third party! (We are happy to display photo/video credits upon request)


Does Tasteur offer warehouse or logistics services?

Tasteur does not currently offer warehouse or logistic services. However, we are creating a partner network which will be exclusively available to food and drink providers. The aim is to help you discover warehouses, drivers and delivery companies that will be able to help you.


Why pay a membership fee as opposed to revenue share?

Commission based solutions reap up to 20% of your profits, which forces you to increase your prices. Tasteur's modest fee structure provides a winning solution for you and your clients. With a membership model, you are also free to choose where you conduct your business. You can use our in-built secure payment system to charge customers directly online. Alternatively, you can trade offline without worrying about commissions and who gets what cut of your profits!


Why is membership charged according to the number of booths/listings?

Tasteur booths/listings are unique. Each booth/listing that you create acts as a mini-website with advanced features, such as: The ability to collect secure direct payments, product categorization, cataloging, calendar and bookings, video integration, keywords, geolocation, and much more. In addition, the Tasteur team works hard to ensure that each booth/listing is optimized for maximum visual and functional effectiveness.


Is my payment info safe?

Absolutely! Tasteur memberships are processed via PayPal, world leaders in secure online payments. All transactions take place on PayPal’s highly protected platform. Tasteur has no access to your credit card information or PayPal credentials.


How do I receive online payments from customers?

For the security of you and your clients, Tasteur payments are processed via PayPal. To start collecting online payments, simply go to your Tasteur account Settings, click on 'Payments' and connect your PayPal Business or Premier account to your user profile. PayPal's Business and Premier accounts enable you to collect all types of credit card payments from your customers! Please note that if your PayPal account is new or has not been used in a while, PayPal may require you to verify it before you’re able to connect. If you do not have a PayPal Business account, you can set one up quickly and easily on PayPal's website.


What happens when a client orders one of my products or services?

When your client places an order or booking, you will receive an email notification alerting you to the transaction, which you then need to accept. If you do not accept the transaction within 3 days, the transaction is automatically canceled and you do not receive payment. If you choose to accept the transaction, the order goes through and the funds will be transferred directly from the customer into your PayPal account, following which you need to fulfill the order according to your business terms. In order to avoid missed opportunities, it's a good idea to whitelist Tasteur.com to ensure that your email alerts do not get stuck in your spam folder!


What happens if I want to leave Tasteur?

Although we would be sad to see you go, you are free to leave at any point. At the end of your current billing cycle, we would simply close your Tasteur listings and business profile. We don't believe in lock-in!
